Restaurant Review: Texas Corners Brewing Company

I haven’t been eating out as frequently as I normally do since the pandemic hit, so when I go out, I want to make sure it’s an exceptional meal! After some research, I decided to try out the Texas Corners Brewing Company.

Texas Corners Brewery is a family-owned business that decided to pair their excellent ciders and beers with some fantastic farm to table food at a historic church in 2015.

The building is beautiful. The old church is cute, and they renovated it to give a taproom feel, while still maintaining a church-like vibe. They have also added a beautiful patio outback. The patio was large and had lots of umbrellas to keep you cool under the hot summer sun.

I was greeted at the door by an employee with a facemask who showed me to my table near the bar. The bar itself was closed, so no seating there, and they have their tables at half capacity and spaced out, so we were all more than 6 feet apart. I felt very comfortable there, even with the ongoing pandemic.

Our server greeted my friend and I and told us they made all their beers, ciders and seltzers, and they offer FREE SAMPLES of any to try before ordering. I ordered a few samples to and went with their Farmers Tan, which is a light lager. It was light and crisp and easily drinkable!

My friend went with their Pineapple Idle Time, which is their seasonal IPA. It was served with a giant slice of Pineapple on the rim, and my friend was happy with her selection.

For a starter, we went with the Soft Pretzels & Beer Cheese to share. It came with two soft pretzels shaped like breadsticks, and the beer cheese was made with their Three Brothers IPA. The cheese was light and delicious, and the pretzels were super soft and salty. So yummy!

For entrees, my friend went with their Veggie Pizza. Our server explained that they do whatever veggies were seasonal. For her, that meant it had zucchini, squash, bell peppers, and red onion.

I went with their Bison Burger. I had seen on their website beforehand that this is a specialty of theirs. And the bison comes from their farm in Schoolcraft! Talk about farm to table!

I also ordered a small Caesar Salad to start my meal because a friend of mine promised me it was delicious.

My salad came out first, and the small bowl was the perfect size as a start to my meal. My friend was correct; it WAS delicious. I would consider ordering this as a meal in their larger size and adding a protein.

Her pizza was beautiful! So many colors with all the veggies. It was a small size, but plenty of food, so it would be suitable for one person, with some leftovers. The crust was crispy, and the veggies were perfect with a little crunch left to them. The cheese was a blend of four types and was terrific. The sauce was an herb cream spread, and there was not a ton on there, but enough to give it some flavor.

My Bison Burger was SO good! It was topped with lettuce, tomato, pickled red onion, and a delicious Cajun aioli. It also came with some of the best fries I have had from a restaurant. They were large and hearty and tasted so fresh. I enjoyed my meal so much that I ordered another Bison Burger to take home to my husband, knowing how much he would enjoy it as well! (He devoured it quickly when I got home!)

Texas Corners Brewing Company was excellent. The service was great, the food and drinks were amazing, and I felt incredibly comfortable eating there even with everything going on. I cannot wait to go back!
