Valentine’s Day Fashion & Beauty

Getting chocolates and flowers is part of what makes Valentine’s Day enjoyable, but getting dolled up is the best & most exciting part of the day. Explore ways to step out of your day-to-day style to prepare your look for Valentine’s Day.

Whether you prefer doing your nails yourself at home, or going to the salon to get a manicure, painted nails are an addition to your Valentine’s Day look. Try warm colors like red, maroon, mauve, magenta, or powder pink!

If you don’t want to spend a ton of time on your makeup, this is a look you should try. A bold lip is a makeup look in itself. You won’t need dramatic eyeshadow or intense blush. Apply a bold lipstick and mascara, and you’ll be out the door in less than 10 minutes. Bolder colors include red, burgundy, and plum.

Find a dress in a vibrant red, burgundy, or pink color you love that flatters your figure. Look for dresses with long sleeves, so that you’ll stay warm while going out in the winter weather. You can dress it up or down to fit your Valentine’s Day plans. If you want to be more casual, you can style your dress with boots and a pair of tights. If you wish to dress up, you can style your dress with heels and a blazer.

Add Valentine’s Day colors to your eyes. Many shades of pinks and purples can create different looks for lots of different skin tones. Lightly layering gold or silver eyeshadow over solid colors creates a shimmered look. Avoid a harsh appearance by blending everything together to have a soft look. For inspiration, look at Valentine’s Day makeup tutorials on YouTube for step-by-step videos on how you can recreate looks on yourself.

Since Valentine’s Day only happens once a year, use this day to wear heels you normally don’t get to wear. Whether you prefer a bright red color or a classic black color, wear them! Heels are the statement piece for any Valentine’s Day outfit. If you love getting dressed up, this is your day! Get dressed up for yourself, and enjoy it!
