Kalamazoo, Mich. — Kalamazoo County Parks is pleased and excited to announce that it has started the process of developing an updated Master Plan for Cold Brook County Park. The purpose of the Cold Brook Master Plan will be to provide a logical framework for guiding decisions concerning park improvements and recreation facilities. The planning process will be led by local landscape architect firm, O’Boyle, Cowell, Blalock & Associates.
The general public is invited to participate in an open house workshop to identify the issues and establish goals specific to Cold Brook County Park on Tuesday, December 11, from 4:00PM to 6:00PM in Room C at the Kalamazoo County Expo Center located at 2900 Lake Street.
This will be an informal, open house workshop conducted in a manner that public participation will have a direct impact on the planning process. Participants can arrive at any time during the scheduled time.
Located at 1446 East MN Avenue in Climax, Cold Brook County Park is a 276 acre park consisting primarily of water in the form of three lakes and unique wetlands. Camping, swimming at the beach, disc golf, boating and fishing are some of the most popular activities at the park.
